SuperSonic Matrix Mid SC-999 Troubleshooting

The tablet is unresponsive or does not appear to be turning on.

If your tablet won't turn on, especially if it has not been used recently, you may simply have a drained battery. This tablet has a micro USB port located on the right side of the device. Plug your tablet into your computer or AC adapter and see if anything happens. Ideally your tablet will recognize that it has been connected to a power source and will charge its battery.

If the battery will no longer charge, replace the battery, which can be done by following the battery replacement guide. You may want to let the device fully charge before using it again without an external power source.

First, make sure the Micro USB cable you are using is working properly. Try using the Micro USB cable to charge another device. If the other device does not charge, there is a problem with the cable and it should be replaced.

The display on the tablet does not appear to be working.

If the display is not working or appears abnormally dim, check that the brightness of the display is adjusted correctly. If this does not fix the problem, you may also want to check if the device is on and/or if the battery is fully charged.

If the display is non responsive, you will want to replace the screen on the tablet. Follow the screen replacement guide. If the device still does not work, there may be an internal issue with the device. If this is the case, you may want to contact the manufacturer.

It should also be noted that if the screen is severely cracked you will want to replace it.

The tablet is not providing good audio through the internal speakers and/or through the headphones.

If you are trying to play music or any form of audio through the speakers in the device and hear nothing, make sure you have adjusted the volume on the tablet to a point where audio can be heard. If this does not work, plug in a set of headphones to confirm the problem is with your speakers (if no sound is playing through your headphones either, there may be a more serious problem with your tablet). Follow the speaker replacement guide for an inside look of your tablet.

If the speakers produce a distorted sound, check to make sure nothing is blocking the external speakers. If that does not work, you will want to replace the speakers . If the device still does not work, there may be an internal issue with the device. If this is the case, you may want to contact the manufacturer.

If the audio is playing through the speakers, but not the headphones, you will want to ensure it is a problem with the device. First, check that there is no debris in the headphone jack. Then, plug in the headphones. If turning the volume up does not fix the issue, you will want to plug in your headphones to another device that you know is working (e.g. an mp3 player or laptop). If you can hear sound through the headphones, the issue is with the tablet. More information can be found in our headphone jack replacement guide.

If the headphone jack does not have a secure connection, you will want to follow the headphone jack replacement guide to gain access to the jack to desolder into place. If the headphones still do not work, there may be an internal issue with the device. If this is the case, you may want to contact the manufacturer.

The device has both a rear and front facing camera. For this portion of the guide the word camera could refer to whichever camera you are having issues with.

Check for firmware updates as this could relate to a software issue just as well as a hardware issue.

Restoring your tablet back to factory settings will restore your tablet to how it was when you took it out of the box, and will fix internal software problems. Keep in mind that doing this will wipe/delete everything off your device (including pictures, videos, apps, etc.), so you will want to make a backup of your tablet before restoring your tablet.

If either one of the cameras do not work properly, you will want to follow the camera replacement guide to replace the camera. If either camera still does not work, there may be an internal issue with the device. If this is the case, you may want to contact the manufacturer.

The pictures taken with the tablet are blurry and unclear.

Make sure nothing is obstructing the lenses from the image you are attempting to capture. You may also need to clean the lenses if the images appear distorted on screen. Check for debris on the camera lens and clean off the surface with a microfiber cloth.

Try focusing the camera before taking the picture, many camera applications will re-focus if you tap on the screen.
