Confirm through research that the CD chosen is in fact compatible with the device. Ensure that the CD being used is compatible with the device. The Sony Walkman D-E356CK are not compatible with MP3 CDs, WMA CDs, and DVD/Blue-rays.
Disk motor is not working
Ensure, the disk has charged batteries. After it You can also use motor lubrication/cleaning since dirt can get in the motor and stop it. Make sure other components are working, if they are working then check out the type of Walkman model and check online for the motor replacement.
Disk reader is not working
Remove the disk and ensure that it is clean and free of scratches. If that fails, open the Walkman lid and wipe the laser lens, making sure no debris is keeping it from reading the disk. If that doesn’t work, the spindle motor or laser sled might be jammed. A simple way to fix this is to tap the back of the Walkman with some aggression to free the jammed components.
