Sony PRS-505 Will Not Charge When The Charger Is Plugged Into Device

If your Sony PRS-505 is not charging, and there are no indicators that it is receiving power, despite the charger being plugged in, follow this page for possible solutions.

As it’s an older model (circa 2008), the PRS-505's internal battery is likely at the end of its life. A deeply discharged battery may prevent USB charging recognition.

• If USB charging is unsuccessful, connect an AC adapter to the dedicated barrel plug port. A compatible Sony PSP charger can also be used to revive a deeply discharged battery.
• To recover from a completely depleted state, leave it connected to the charger for several hours (4+ hours).
