Tablet has issue powering on

The Tablet either doesn't power on at all or has issues getting past start up.

Tablet isn't charged

If the tablet doesn't turn on, there is a chance that the tablet battery is drained and needs to be charged. To charge the tablet, plug the charger into an AC wall outlet and plug the micro USB plug into the micro USB slot on the tablet. A light should turn on, indicating that the tablet is charging. After a couple of hours, the tablet should be charged enough for use. Recommended at least 60% charge.

Faulty Power Button

If the tablet battery is charged or the tablet has been connected with the AC charger for 2 hours and the device will not power on your power button will need to be replaced.

BIOS needs to be restarted

The BIOS makes sure that the chips, ports, and CPU work together. If there an issue with the BIOS, this could prevent the tablet from turning on properly. This issue can be resolved by restarting the BIOS. To restart to BIOS, first power off the tablet completely. Then, remove the battery from the tablet. Next, hold the power button, with the battery still removed, for 60 seconds. This will drain the currents from all parts and restart the BIOS. After doing so, plug the battery back in and check if the issue persists.

Recent Firmware or Update Issue

Something could have gone wrong with a recent update. To fix this issue, first power off the system. Next access the system recovery menu by holding the volume up, home, and power buttons. Use the volume buttons to navigate the menu. First try the "reboot system now" option. If the issue persists, access the system recovery menu again. This time, choose the "wipe data/factory reset" option. This will set the tablet back to it's original state. Note that this means all your data on the tablet will be lost. After you're done with this step, try reinstalling all the updates.

Tablet will not charge

No matter what you do, you can't get your tablet to charge.

Faulty Charger

If you are attempting to charge the tablet with a computer the charge rate is extremely slow (10 hours). We recommend for troubleshooting using a AC wall outlet and the charger provided with the tablet. If the charger that came with your tablet is not functional try a different AC charger that is compatible with your device. Check the manufacturer documentation that came with the charger to ensure it is compatible with your device. The device is charging if a lightning bolt is displayed over the battery icon in the upper right hand corner of the tablet display. If the tablet still will not charge try using a different micro USB cable. If your device still will not charge plug the charger into a different AC wall outlet.

Faulty micro USB port

If your device will not recognize power being recieved through power supply cord connected to an AC wall outlet the USB charging connector in your device may need to be replaced. You can tell if it is recieveing power by looking at the upper right hand corner of the screen to see if a lightning bolt is displayed over the battery icon. First try a different AC adapter. If the tablet still will not charge try using a different micro USB cable. Try plugging it into a different AC wall outlet. If you are attempting to charge the tablet with a computer the charge rate is extremely slow. We recommend for troubleshooting using a AC wall outlet and the charger provided with the tablet. If your tablet still will not charge the charging receptacle in your device needs to be replaced.

Tablet shuts off when unplugged

When the tablet is unplugged from the AC wall outlet, it shuts off.

Bad Battery

With the device plugged into an AC wall outlet using the charger that came with your tablet confirm that it is charging. The tablet is charging if a lightning bolt is displayed over the battery icon in the right hand corner of the tablet display. Next confirm the battery is charged. From the home screen select settings then select battery. If the battery is displaying at least 5% and the tablet still shuts off when unplugged the battery needs to be replaced. If after 20 minutes of charging the battery does not display over 5% the battery needs to be replaced.

No audio/distorted audio from speakers

You have no audio, low audio, or distorted audio through the main speakers.

Audio Muted

From the home screen select Settings then select Sound then select Volume and set all three sliders (music, notifications and system) to their maximum position (to the right). If you did not hear anything from your speakers when you adjusted the sliders in the last step both your speakers need to be replaced.

Debris in Speakers

Check the speaker openings for foreign debris; even lint can affect the sound from your speakers. The speakers are the oval openings located on the bottom of your device on either side of the charging plug. If there are debris in either one use an aerosol keyboard cleaner spray to clear them. If you have more stubborn debris a small hobby paint brush or even an old tooth brush can be used to sweep away the debris.

If there is a sticky substance in your speakers do not use any liquids to attempt to clean them. This may ruin the speakers and there will be a risk of electric shock. You will need to remove the back cover, battery and speakers to clean out the speaker openings.

Speaker failure

If the above steps have not fixed your problem it is likely at least one of your speakers needs replaced. If you have some audio but it seems distorted it is important to determine if one speaker or both is faulty. While playing your favorite song cover one speaker with your thumb if the distortion goes away the speaker you covered is the one you will need to replace.

If you have low audio it is likely at least one of your speakers has failed. From the home screen select Settings then select Sound then select Volume and set all three sliders (music, notifications and system) to their maximum position (to the right). If your volume is still too low cover one of the speakers with your thumb if the volume doesn't change the speaker you covered is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the volume decreased and is now very faint the uncovered speaker is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Faulty Screen

"Your screen is cracked, doesn't respond, or doesn't display anything"

Screen is cracked

If you cracked your screen, due to dropping it or it getting hit, then you have to replace the screen. To replace the screen, follow the steps in this guide.

If you go to settings, there is a calibration option. If you are unable to access this option or you are unable to complete the calibration, then the digitizer is damaged to the point that it requires replacement.

LCD is faint or out

If your device is faintly lit, your screen brightness may be low. Trying changing the brightness by going to the brightness setting. If this doesn't work or your screen is out altogether, then your screen LCD has to be replaced.

No audio/distorted audio from headphones

You have no audio, low audio, or distorted audio when headphones firmly in headphone jack.

Faulty headphone jack

If your headphones will not recognize audio or has distorted audio from your device while connected properly to the headphone jack, the headphone jack in your device may need to be replaced. You can tell if it there is audio coming from the device by simply unplugging your headphones and turning up the volume of your device. If there is audio coming from the device when the headphones are unplugged try a different set of headphones. If you still can't hear any audio from the tablet the headphone jack needs to be replaced.

No response from volume buttons

There is no response to the audio when adjusting the volume of the device.

Faulty volume buttons

If you press your volume buttons and get no response from your device then you will need to check to see if they are truly not working. To make sure that they are not working properly press firmly on each button. If you get no response you can feel if the buttons are mashed, when pressing down on each button feel if you get a response. You should feel a solid press down as well as the button returning to it's original position. If you still get no response then your volume buttons need to be replaced.
