Keyboard/Keys Not Responding
Keys appear to be sticky or stuck.
Sticky Keys
Check reason keys are sticky. If reason is food, glue, drink, etc. Grab a paper towel with 99% rubbing alcohol. Gently wipe surface of keyboard.
Keys Get Stuck When Pressed On
Remove keyboard/keys to check for obscuring objects.
Trackpad Is Unresponsive
Trackpad is not functioning correctly, mouse does not follow movement
Trackpad is Dirty
If there is dirt around the sides of the trackpad. Grab a soft cloth, moisten it with a bit of water (or isopropyl alcohol, if necessary), and give the touchpad a good cleaning.
Water Damage to Trackpad
Restart the systems:
1.Hold down the power button until the Chromebook completely powers off.
2.Hit the power button to boot it up – don’t log in. Alternatively, you can simply log out of your account.
3.At the login screen press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+R
4.You’ll see the following screen – select Reset.
Trackpad Cable Being Dislodged
Check for updates:
- Turn on your Chromebook.
- Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi
- At the bottom right, select the time Settings .
- At the bottom left, select About ChromeOS.
- Under "Google ChromeOS," find which version of the Chrome operating system your Chromebook uses.
- Select Check for updates.
- If your Chromebook finds a software update, it will start to download automatically.
Faulty Battery
The device does not fully hold battery

The monitor on the Samsung Chromebook 3 is fully black, freezes at times and is glitching.

LCD Display Freezes/Glitching
Force Restart by pressing power button for 3 seconds.
Update your Samsung Chromebook 3:
- Turn on your Chromebook.
- Connect your Chromebook to Wi-Fi

Speakers Malfunction
Having trouble hearing audio.
Dirty Speakers
Clean out speaker using isopropyl alcohol with microfiber towel.
Faulty Speakers
