Ring Floodlight Cam Lights Do Not Turn On

Are the floodlights on your Ring Floodlight Cam not turning on? Use this troubleshooting guide to help diagnose why.

Ensure the device itself is receiving power by checking if the device installation was done properly, there are also times when the breaker switch connected to the Ring Cam is tripped due to power outages, make sure to check the breaker switch and reset it.

Ensure the device has the latest update if not try resetting the device through the designated Ring App, if soft resetting doesn’t resolve the issue, factory reset the device by holding the button on top of the camera module for 20 seconds.

Check the settings on the Ring App and ensure “Motion-Activated Lights” is toggled on. It can be found in Device Settings > Light Settings. If the floodlight still wont turn on, factory reset the device by holding the top button of the camera module for at least 20 seconds.

Due to various reasons like power outages, storms, wear and tear the floodlight itself will be damaged and should be replaced.
