Device will not turn on

The device does not display anything when the power button is pressed.

The battery has no charge

If the tablet does not turn on, the most likely reason is the battery has no charge. Plug the power adapter into an outlet, and plug the other side into the Maven Pro. After waiting a minute, hold the power button to turn the device on. If the screen still displays nothing, the power may need to be replaced.

Faulty battery

If the tablet fails to turn on and does not respond to any button presses after charging the battery, the battery itself may be faulty. Follow this guide to replace your battery

Software bug

If the table is charged but will still not turn on, hold the power button and the volume up button at the same time. A menu named “Android system recovery” should appear. Scroll using volume buttons to find “wipe data/ factory reset”. Note that all data will be erased.

Touch screen isn't working properly

The device is not properly registering my touch commands.

Protective film or cover over the touch screen

Remove any film or covers over the touch screen. These may be causing the tablet not to register your finger.

Screen calibration is incorrect

Navigate to the devices settings and locate the option for screen calibration.  Follow the prompts to calibrate your screen.

Software bugs

Restart the device by holding down the power button and pressing restart. This will get rid of any temporary software bugs.

Faulty audio

Your tablet turns on and the display is working, but the audio is distorted or is not producing sound.

Volume too low

If no sound is being produced, check your tablet’s volume level. Raise the volume level until you can hear the audio. This will not fix any distorted audio, but may make the audio easier to comprehend.

Damaged headphones/speakers

Faulty audio can originate from defective headphones/speakers that are plugged into your tablet. Test the headphones/speakers in a different device to make sure the audio is working properly. Plug a separate set of working headphones/speakers into the tablet. If the audio is still faulty, the problem is likely with the tablet itself.

Bluetooth errors

If you are using bluetooth headphones/speakers to connect to your tablet, make sure they are connected. Go into tablet settings, under connections/bluetooth, to check if you are connected to the correct device.

NOTE: If you frequently connect your tablet to multiple bluetooth devices, do not assume your tablet is connected to the set of headphones/speakers you currently trying to use. Electronics with bluetooth capabilities attempt to connect to the most recently linked device no matter how much time has passed. No audio production from your tablet can result from being connected to a previous bluetooth device, rather than the current device you are attempting to use.

Poor audio quality

Check the quality of your audio source before assuming there is an issue with your tablet. Distorted audio can result from low quality sound creation. For example, professional videos/songs have better sound quality compared to amateur videos from the internet.

Defective tablet

Faulty audio can originate from defects in the tablet’s external speaker or internal audio connections. In this case, a device component may need to be replaced. Try cleaning the speaker on the back of the device before replacing anything on your tablet. Never use water when cleaning an electronic device. Use something dry to clean the device or blow air into the speaker if there is a possibility of dust restricting audio performance.

Wireless connection issues

The tablet is having a hard time connecting to Wifi.

The device needs to be reset

To reset the device, press the reset button. This button is located by turning the device to its back side. On the back of the device, with the keyboard connector facing down, the top rightmost button that is still on the back, and not on the side of the tablet, is the reset button. It will be to the top and right of the camera. Press this button and it will reset the device. Sometimes when a device is left on for too long, odd issues can present themselves and be done away with a reset.
The device might need to be updated to receive the latest fixes for common and known issues.

There is a connection issue between the device itself and the modem/router

A wireless connection issue between the device and the internet connection source could be because of several reasons. The easiest would be that the tablet is simply in an area where it can not establish a reliable connection with the wireless internet connection source. Moving to a new location that is not blocked behind walls, not near devices that produce electromagnetic fields that could make the internet connection worse, and within the range of the wireless connection will help resolve this.

The internet provided by a modem or router is having issues, not the device itself

Sometimes wireless connection issues are not because of the tablet, but from the device that provides wireless connection to the internet. If that is the case, resetting the device, turning it on and off again, or otherwise referring to the modem/router device manual to fix the wireless connection from the modem/router to the Internet Service Provider will help with this issue.

It is possible the WiFi setting is not turned on for the device. To check this, go to the WiFi settings app provided on the tablet. Navigating to the section for wireless connections, check to see that WiFi is turned on and connected to the WiFi network you use. It is also possible Airplane Mode is on. Airplane mode turns off all wireless connections. Navigate to where Airplane mode is at and check that it is off. If it is on, turn it off and let the device turn WiFi mode back on so a connection can be made.

The internet service provider or website is having issues

The wireless connection problem could be an issue with the Internet Service Provider (ISP) - not the tablet or the router/modem. If that is the case, it is something they will have to fix on their own. To verify this, calling the ISP customer service if their number is known will help determine if the issue is with them. Otherwise, if available, use a mobile connection to check online for a customer service number for the ISP or check social media for any posts that might provide an update for any issues impacting service to their customers.

Short battery life

Device loses charge quickly after being fully charged.

Dead battery

If you have had the battery since the tablet was purchased, the battery is worn out and needs to be replaced. Over time the battery will wear out due to usage of the device.

Device is being charged too often

Recharging the battery when there is still battery power left overheats the device and causes depletion of the battery life. Wait until battery life of the device is low before you begin to recharge the device to prevent battery depletion.

Device is being charged for too long

Optimal charging time for the device is 3-4 hours. Keeping the device plugged into the charger for long periods of time or after the device has reached 100% battery life depletion of the battery. The ideal range for the device to be charged is when the battery power is between 20-80%.

Nothing about a software update?

My device is stuck in boot loop. Pic with the two dogs comes up for a few seconds then when it should go to the next page/pic it goes back to the two dogs. Reset it several times but continues the same loop. Any help for it?

Close the tablet while the device is in the boot loop. Leave it closed until the tablet goes into sleep mode (you can tell by looking in the side to see if the screen is no longer lit). Open the tablet and press the Power button on the side 1 time, and it will continue the boot process. Complete all the information requested to set up the tablet. Unfortunately, it will do the same thing once you turn off the tablet, so you have to repeat the process. I haven't found a way to fix yet. It may require the reloading of the Android ISO image. Hope this helps.
