Broken Screen

The screen is cracked.

Screen Needs to be Replaced

Fix this problem by ordering another screen and use this guide to replace the existing screen.

Proscan Will Not Charge

The tablet is connected to the charger, but it will not charge.

Charger is Faulty

There may be a problem with the charging cord itself. Use the charging cord for a familiar device to check if it works. If not, a new one should be purchased.

Charging Port is Dirty

Check for dirt, lint, or anything else that may be clogging the port. Use a can of compressed air to blow out any dirt or debris.

Charging Port is Faulty

If you confirm you have a working charger and the ProScan still will not charge, you may have a faulty or damaged charging port. Because the charging port is a component of the motherboard, the motherboard will need to be replaced.

ProScan Will Not Turn On

The tablet will not respond or show any sign of powering up.

ProScan is Not Charged

The device may need to be charged. The maximum battery run time is 4 hours according to Curtis International.

Battery is Faulty

If the charging cord works, the battery may be faulty or damaged. Use this guide to replace the battery.

Motherboard is Faulty

If the charger and the battery both work, you may have a loose connection with the motherboard, or the motherboard itself may be faulty. Check for damage such as blown fuses, burns, or corrosion. If necessary, use this guide to replace the motherboard.

ProScan Does Not Produce Sound

No audio is coming from the tablet's speakers.

Volume is Not Turned Up

Your volume may simply be low or completely off. Use the volume settings application to increase the volume.

Software Issues

If turning up the volume does not help, there may be an issue with your software that may be solved with a factory reset. Use a paper clip and insert it into the reset button hole and hold the power button at the same time for 10 seconds. The screen will turn blue and the android icon will pop up with an options menu. Scroll down using the volume button to the “wipe data/factory reset,” then select it by using the power button.

Note: This will clear all user data from your ProScan. Be sure to back up important data before performing a factory reset.

Faulty Speakers

If previous options have not restored audio, you likely have faulty or damaged speakers. Use this guide to replace them.

Camera is Not Working Correctly

Your pictures come out blurry, or the camera does not work at all.

Dirty Camera Lens

There may be smudges or fingerprints on your camera lens, causing your photos to turn out fuzzy. Use a cleaning cloth to clean the lens. If pictures are still blurry, there may be another issue.

Software Issues

There may be an issue with your software that may be solved with a factory reset.

Bad Connection to Motherboard

The internal connection to the motherboard may be broken or loose. To check, you will need to open the device. If the camera cable is connected and the camera is still non-functional, the issue may lie with the camera itself.

Broken Camera Component

If the connection to the motherboard looks good, the camera is likely broken and will need to be replaced. Use this guide to replace the camera.

ProScan Will Not Connect to Wi-Fi.

Wifi symbol does not appear and web-based applications will not load.

Router and/or Modem Requires Restart

You may be experiencing problems with your router and/or modem that may be solved simply by restarting. Turn off your router and/or modem. After 30 seconds, turn your router and/or modem back on and check your connection.

Outdated Router and/or Modem Firmware

If restarting does not work, check to make sure your router and/or modem has the latest firmware. Vendors often release firmware updates to fix known issues or to add new features. You should be able to access the latest firmware updates on the manufacturer's website.

Router and/or Modem Software Issues

If restarting and updating firmware does not work, there may be an issue with the software. To fix this, reset your router and/or modem to factory default. If you have any custom settings, be sure to save these so that you may restore them after resetting.

ProScan Software Issues

If resetting your router and/or modem does not work, there may be a software issue on your ProScan. Solve this with a factory reset.

Service Provider Issues

If you still cannot connect after restarting your router, updating firmware, and restoring factory settings on your router and your ProScan, you may have issues with your service provider and will need to follow up with them.
