3.5 inch OLED touch screen is either slow to respond or completely frozen and does not react to user input

If the touch screen is unresponsive coming out of standby mode or slow to respond during normal operation there could be a software malfunction preventing the touchscreen from operating in a normal fashion. Sometimes a simple reset can be all that is needed to resolve these issues. Turn the camera off and then turn it back on again. Press the menu button, tap set up, and then hit reset all to restore the camera back to default values.

Make sure you have the newest firmware installed for you camera. The Menu, Home, and Back buttons next to the touch screen do not function correctly when pressed.

If the buttons cannot be pressed or seem stuck, there could be a foreign substance impeding the operation of the buttons. Find a Q-tip and isopropyl alcohol. Turn the camera off and face the screen downwards to keep the alcohol from leaking into the camera during application. Dip the Q-tip in isopropyl alcohol and rub both around and in-between the buttons. Dry the area with the other end of the Q-tip. Turn the camera on again and try to operate the selector buttons.

Whenever a picture is taken, they are not saved to the camera and you are unable to view them.

Make sure you have inserted an SD Card into the Camera. On the bottom of the camera, there is a panel that houses the battery and the SD card. Check to see that there is an SD Card present in the slot above the battery.

With the SD Card inserted, check the Memory Page on the Camera Menu to ensure there is enough unused space to take pictures. If there is not enough space, you can delete unwanted photos or insert a new SD Card.

Make sure that the SD Card you are using works. You can test by inserting it in another device that accepts SD Cards like a Computer or another camera. If inserted in a computer, test to see if you can access the files on the SD Card. If inserted in a different camera, test to see if you can take pictures and view the pictures on the camera.
