Phone Will Not Turn On

The phone will not turn on when you hold down the power button for at least 5 seconds.

Drained/Defective Battery

If your phone won't turn on and you haven't used it recently, then the battery might be drained. Plug your phone into its charger and attempt to turn it on after an hour has passed. If the phone still cannot turn on, then the battery might not be able to charge anymore, meaning it might be defective and must be replaced.

Temperature Too Hot

If the phone is left out in the sun or a hot environment for too long, the internal temperature may become too hot. Allow the phone to cool down before trying to turn it on.

Defective Display

The phone might appear to not be turning on because the display is damaged. If it can still generate sounds and be detected by other devices, then the display is likely faulty and you might need to replace the screen.

Screen is Not Working

The screen does not respond when touched.

Screen is Cracked

There are many causes to cracked screens such as dropping it, kicking it, or having another item fall on top of it. If the phone screen is cracked, the display or touch functions may become inoperative, meaning it must be replaced.

Phone is Frozen

If the phone is unable to change what it is displaying, but was working previously, then the phone might be frozen. You might be able to fix it by rebooting it: simultaneously hold the power and volume buttons until the phone screen goes black, then release both buttons.

Temperature Too Hot

If the phone is left out in the sun or a hot environment for too long, the internal temperature may become too hot. Allow the phone to cool down before trying to turn it on.

Phone Logic Board Damaged

The phone's logic board may be damaged causing the screen to become inoperative. Check with the manufacturer to determine if the logic board needs to be replaced or repaired.

Phone Shuts Off Randomly

The phone does not stay turned on when in use.

Drained Battery

If the phone shuts off unexpectedly, check the charge level of the phone to see if it is nearing 0%. The phone will shut off to prevent component damage at these critically low battery levels. Be sure to plug in your phone into its charger and charge for about an hour.

Temperature Too Hot

If the phone is left out in the sun or a hot environment for too long, the internal temperature may become too hot. Allow the phone to cool down before trying to turn it on.

Software is Malfunctioning

The phone's software might be functioning incorrectly and tampering with the phone's memory, causing it to shut off unexpectedly. You can possibly fix this by rebooting it, where you simultaneously hold the power and volume buttons until the phone screen goes black, then release both buttons.

Defective Battery

If your phone shuts off unexpectedly and the charge level of the phone is well above 0% or the charge level does not increase when attempting to charge it, the battery might be defective. In this case, the battery has to be replaced.

Phone Freezes or Becomes Slow

The phone is running slower than usual or is frozen.

Phone is Being Overworked

Having too many applications open can overwhelm the phone and cause it to be slow or freeze. Hold the home button until a list of running applications appears. Swipe right on all open applications to close them.

Phone is Frozen

Temporarily frozen phones can sometimes be fixed by rebooting them. Simultaneously hold the power and volume buttons until the phone screen goes black, then release both buttons. This will clear temporarily stored data to reduce the working load on the phone.

If rebooting didn't work you can also try a Factory Reset.

**Warning** This step will erase all saved data. It is recommended to do a full backup prior to attempting this step. Performing a factory reset will remove all data from the phone and return it to default new state.

To perform the factory reset, hold down the power button and the volume buttons simultaneously until the screen turns black. Once the phone reboots select "recover". Then select settings, then privacy, and finally select factory data reset.

Allow the phone to perform the reset and clear all stored data.

Phone Will Not Connect to WiFi

The use of WiFi is limited or not working.

WiFi Switch Turned Off

Under settings, make sure the phone has WiFi turned on. If you are in airplane mode, WiFi will be turned off.

WiFi is Unavailable

Make sure WiFi is available in a direct nearby area.

WiFi Password Incorrect

Make sure the WiFi network password is stored in the phone correctly.

Settings Need to be Refreshed

The phone may need to be rebooted in order to refresh its settings. Simultaneously hold the power and volume buttons until the phone screen goes black, then release both buttons. Once turned on, attempt to reconnect to WiFi.

Phone Will Not Connect to Bluetooth

The use of Bluetooth is limited or not working.

Bluetooth Turned Off

Under settings, make sure the phone has Bluetooth turned on. If you are in airplane mode, Bluetooth will be turned off.

Bluetooth Equipped Device Turned Off

The device you are trying to connect to may be out of range or not receiving connections. Make sure the Bluetooth device is turned on and accepting connections.

Bluetooth Password Stored Incorrectly

Make sure the Bluetooth password for the device you are attempting to connect to is stored correctly. Generic devices generally have a password of "0000" or "1234", however, some devices have passwords set for the specific device. Consult the manufacturer for this password.

Settings Need to be Refreshed

The phone may need to be rebooted in order to refresh its settings. Simultaneously hold the power and volume buttons until the phone screen goes black, then release both buttons. Once turned on, attempt to reconnect to Bluetooth.

Phone Speaker Not Working

There is limited to no volume coming out of the phone.

Volume Set on Mute

Make sure the phone volume is turned on by clicking the volume up button on the right side of the phone.

Defective Speaker

If the phones says that the volume is turned up but is still not working, the phone speaker may be defective and may need replacement. Depending on which speaker is not working, you may need to perform an earpiece speaker replacement, an external speaker replacement, or both.

Defective Headphone Jack

The phone headphone jack may be defective causing the phone to disable the external speaker. Headphone jack replacement may be necessary.

Frozen Phone

The phone may simply be frozen. This can sometimes be fixed by rebooting it. Simultaneously hold the power and volume buttons until the phone screen goes black, then release both buttons.

Applications Fail to Load

The phone is unable to open or load applications.

Overuse of Applications

If too many applications are open, then phone performance may decrease. Hold the home button until a list of running applications appears. Swipe right on all open applications to close them. This reduces the working load on the phone.

Frozen Phone

The phone may simply be frozen. This can sometimes be fixed by rebooting it. Simultaneously hold the power and volume buttons until the phone screen goes black, then release both buttons. This will clear temporarily stored data to reduce the working load on the phone.

Application Updates Needed

Out of date applications can cause the phone to slow down, sometimes this can be fixed by updating your applications.

**It is recommended to complete this step while connected to WiFi**

To update your applications click settings under the phone menu. Then select "applications" and enter the "all applications" list. From here select the applications you would like to update. Once updates are selected, allow the phone to update the applications, this may take significant time and may slow the phone down in the process. Afterwards your applications will be updated to the most current software.

Applications are Still Having Problems Running

**It is recommended to complete this step while connected to WiFi**

By uninstalling and re-installing applications that fail to load, some running problems may be resolved.

Click settings under the phone menu. Then select "applications" and enter the "all applications" list. From here select the applications that you wish to uninstall.

Re-install by entering the Android Market and searching for the applications you wish to install. Once the desired application is found click the install button.

Once installed try running the application and look for application running issues. If none are found proceed to use the application.

a phone that cost this much should last longer, my wife has the razor and it is locking up and the BATTERY over heating
