Screen is unresponsive

My phone doesn’t respond to the touch

Performs slowly

Your phone has low internal memory. You can reduce the phone’s memory by closing running apps, clearing the caches, and replacing any live wallpaper used. Try to also safely remove your SD card by going to Settings, tap Storage & USB in the General tab, and tap Eject. Once the card is unmounted, remove the SD card.

Freezes

This freezing problem can be due to performance issues caused by low internal memory. Memory can be reduced by closing any running apps, clearing the caches, and replacing any live wallpaper used. If the problem cannot be identified, then perform a soft reset by turning off the phone and removing the battery. Leave the battery out for 10 seconds and then put it back in. Once the battery is in, turn the phone back on.

Turns off or unexpectedly restarts

This could be due to the fact the your phone is running on outdated software. Check for latest software update and if prompted, install the update. In addition, certain applications, mostly third party apps, can cause the phone to restart on its own or shut down on its own. Find the ones that cause the unintended resets and uninstall them.

Unable to install or update applications

This could be due to fact that your phone doesn’t have enough storage. Check to make sure that your phone has enough storage to install or update applications. Uninstall the apps you don’t use very often. Another reason is an issue with Google Play Store. The solution is to clear your Google Play Store data. To do that, go to Settings, tap Apps in the General, scroll to and tap Google Play Store, tap Storage, and tap Clear data. A message will then appear to confirm the clearing of the data. Tap Yes to confirm.

Where do I find the latest software updates?

Enter your zone again, open device diagnostics. Tap system updates then tap device software. Check for an update: if phone has an update, follow the prompts to install.

LG G Stylo battery won’t charge

I plug my phone into a charger but it isn’t charging up

How to perform a soft reset

Turn your phone off. Once your phone is off, remove the battery of your device. After 10 seconds, reinsert your battery and turn your phone back on.

Charges slowly

Carefully inspect your phone to make sure that your device is not overheating or visibly damaged. Carefully inspect your phone's charging port and if any visible debris are seen, remove them. Remove the battery of your device. Inspect and clean the gold contacts using a cotton swab or a dry cloth. (The gold contacts are where your battery was previously located on your device.) If problems with charging continue to persist, you may have to change the charging port on your phone.

Headphone audio is distorted

If you have tested your headphones with other devices to make sure that they are working properly, then the problem is most likely in the jack

Dirt build up

The LG G Stylo CDMA audio jack could just be dusty or dirty. You can try using compressed air to clean out the debris. A damp toothpick can be used to gently clean out the jack and remove dirt or debris.. However, you should be very careful when inserting anything into the jack to avoid further damage. If your audio jack seems to be damaged, you will simply need to replace the part.

Hissing, crackling, or fading in and out when you use headphones

Check the settings on your LG G Stylo. You may just need to update a driver or adjust the volume. When you plug in headphones the device will often will be on mute because the speaker and headphone volume are on different volumes. You should check the connection by removing the headphones and re-inserting them. They might just be inserted improperly. Finally, try restarting the device to see if it solves the audio problem.

Touchscreen not responding

No matter how many times I tap the screen, it doesn’t respond

Screen does not respond to touch

First, it is imperative to make sure if your protective case or screen protector is interfering with the touchscreen. Sometimes, the pressure of a protective case and the thickness/texture of a screen protector can affect the touchscreen’s performance. Try taking off any screen protector or case, and then test to check if your issue is resolved. Caution: There are some screen protectors that may not reapply properly. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, then identify if operating system is interfering with touchscreen functionality. If all of these solutions don’t resolve the problem, then a broader performance dilemma might be the issue.

Freezes

If freezing begins to occur with the LG G Stylo, perform a soft reset. A soft reset eliminates any makeshift files that might be causing the issue. To perform the soft reset, carefully take the battery out of the LG G Stylo. After 10 seconds have passed, put the safely put the battery back into the device. Turn the LG G Stylo back on.

Front/Back Camera not working

When attempting to take pictures with the front or back camera and the screen only shows black

Low Battery

If your phone is experiencing low battery, your camera will become unusable until your phone becomes charged. Once your phone is charged, try taking a picture again.

Camera Application crashed

If your camera application on your device has crashed or your phone has the camera open but is unresponsive, try closing out of the camera application and restarting it to fix the problem. If the application is still showing signs of unresponsiveness, restart the phone.

Pictures are not coming in clearly

If camera application is working but pictures are not coming in clearly, the lenses may be dirty or have some dirt buildup in it. Try cleaning the camera lenses with a dry, soft, lint-free fabric.

I truly hope you receive an answer about your phone NOT charging, yet it's showing the spinning digital dial as if it's doing its task! You try turning the phone ON & nothing! Right?

Obviously I also have this problem and the Owners Manual says to do a SOFT RESET which removing the battery for 10 seconds or more, put the battery back in and ALAKAZAM! Nothing changed! For me anyway..

Good luck.. Is it Rita? Or Johnny? LoL! JK...

Take care, and best of luck to you. Gregg
