Headphones Will Not Connect To Xbox
When I look at the screen, the Xbox is not showing any headphones connected. My headphones are on, yet they are not being recognized by the Xbox.
Headphones Are Not Updated
- Check for firmware updates by going to the Xbox Accessories app on your console. Once you are in the app, open the settings menu: Profile & System> Settings > Devices & Connections> Accessories. Click the (...) buttons and check if there is a new update. Click ‘update now’ on the console and wait for the update to complete.
Headphones Need To Be Reset
- First, unplug the headset from the Xbox/Windows PC and restart the gaming console that is being used. Once the gaming console has been reset, re-plug the headset back into the gaming console.
- If the headset is still not working, check the audio jack to see if there is any damage. If damage is present to the audio jack, replace it.
Headphones Are Not Plugged In Properly
- Unplug the headset and plug it back in. Make sure that the headset plug is securely plugged into your Xbox/Windows PC headphone jack.
Console Is Already Paired With A Different Headset
- Go into the settings of your Xbox console or Windows PC. Find the setting labeled "Bluetooth". Ensure that your gaming console is not already Bluetooth paired to a headset by confirming no device labeled “headset” is connected. If it is paired to another headset, unpair that headset by selecting “disconnect”, then unplug your HyperX headset and plug them back in.
Audio/Microphone Is Not picking Up What I Saying
The microphone is not picking up my voice. The players on the other side say that they cannot hear me.
Microphone Is Not Securely Plugged In
- Make sure the microphone is securely plugged into your headset and that there is no debris in the plug input.
Mute Button Is Activated
- First, make sure the mute button is not activated. The mute button is activated when the volume slider is pushed down (the red dot appears) on the wire of the headset.
Auto-Mute Is Set To High
- Check in headset settings and ensure auto-mute is not set to high (turn it off or turn it to low). To get to these settings:
- Xbox: Select Xbox accessories app>select the headset screen>select configure to open the settings.
- Windows PC: Select the Windows icon on the desktop>select settings>select Bluetooth>select the headset to see headset settings.
- Make sure your headset has up-to-date software. Check for firmware updates.
- Try restarting the headset device and console.
I Cannot Hear The Audio In My Headset
I cant hear sound through my headset. Audio is staticky or cannot be heard at all.
Headset Is not Properly Plugged In
- Make sure that your headset is securely plugged in and the volume is turned up by turning the dial located on the wire.
Audio Level Is Low On Computer
- In headset settings, check the audio level in the equalizer; you can ‘restore it to default.’ To get to these settings:
- Xbox: Select Xbox accessories app>select the headset screen>select configure to open the settings.
- Windows PC: Select the Windows icon on the desktop>select settings>select Bluetooth>select the headset to see headset settings.
- Try restarting the console, unplugging the headset, and plugging it back in. Check for a firmware update and make sure it is up to date.
Unexpected Buzzing
- Try exiting to the console home screen/desktop; this will determine if the noises are coming from a specific game.
- Check for a firmware update.
- Try unplugging the headset and restarting the console.
- In headset settings, restore to default settings under the headset equalizer levels. To get to these settings:
- Xbox: Select Xbox accessories app>select the headset screen>select configure to open the settings.
- Windows PC: Select the Windows icon on the desktop>select settings>select Bluetooth>select the headset to see headset settings.
- In settings, try to set mic monitoring to off
- Make sure bass boost is turned off if you’re hearing too much bass in the audio.
The Headset Is Not Turning On
When plugged in, no light comes on on the ear of my headset. The headset is not being shown on my console.
Headset Is Not Properly Plugged In.
- If the headset will not turn on, try unplugging it and plugging it back in.
- Make sure there is no debris in the hole where you plug in your console.
- Try restarting the console
- Make sure the wire is securely plugged into the headset and the console, and check for any wire damage. If there is damage to the wire, it may need to be replaced.
Audio Loss in One Ear
The audio is only being heard in either the left or right ear and not both at the same time.
Ensure that the speaker audio jack for the device is connected to the correct port. If there is still an audio loss in one ear, there may be a faulty speaker or severed wire. This would require further assistance.
Volume Switch Issue
Trying to change the volume and there’s little to no difference or a dramatic change in volume.
Check to see if the volume slider on the cable has been moved. Adjusting this volume slider should restore audio in both ears.
Faulty Speaker
There is either no sound coming out of the headset or the sound is distorted, too loud, or too quiet.
After adjusting the volume slider and re-plugging the device, then it does not work. The speaker may be faulty.
Un commento
So I just bought my headset and I use it for my Xbox 1. It just came in today around 5 pm and I unboxed it and used it for about 2 hours before the mic stopped working. I was able to get it to work again by unplugging the Xbox and plugging it back in but it only fixed it for about maybe half an hour, is there something I’m doing wrong or would that be a problem with the headset/mic itself?
