Jura E8 15109 Troubleshooting
How to fix common issues found in the Jura E8 15109.
Coffee has no/very little frothed milk.
Insufficient foam is produced when the milk is frothed or milk sprays out of the professional fine foam frother.
Frother is dirty
The fine foam frother is dirty and needs to be cleaned. To do this, set the system to “rinse the milk system” then place a receptacle under the fine foam frother. dismantle and rinse the fine foam frother with warm water or the provided jura cleaning agent. To avoid this problem Jura recommends that you rinse the fine foam frother through its operations once every day after milk is used in the frother.
When the water tank is full but “fill water tank” is still displayed.
There is a lot of limescale accumulated in the water tank causing it to display “fill water tank” even when the tank is full.
Limescale may have over accumulated
To descale the water tank you will need to remove the water tank. When and if using a CLEARYL smart filter cartridge remove it. Completely fill the water tank followed by dissolving 3 JURA descaling tablets in it and letting it sit for several hours (overnight). Empty the water tank and rinse it thoroughly. If you use a “CLEARYL” Smart filter cartridge, insert this again. Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water and reinsert the tank.
Coffee flow is inconsistent
When making a cup of coffee the flow from the main spout is dripping slowly or even spraying
The water hardness may not have been correctly set
Set the grinder to a coarser setting. Alternatively, try to perform descaling.
Coffee spout is dirty
Make sure the coffee machine is off and unplugged. Let the machine sit for an hour until cool to the touch. Carefully remove the spout and clean.
Machine makes ticking and rattling noise
Grinder is making very loud noise
Object is stuck in grinder
This loud noise occurs when a foreign object becomes lodged in the grinder. One option to fix this situation involves; turning off the Jura E8 coffee maker, unplugging it from the wall, and carefully checking the grinder where the jam is.
Machine is cold to the touch and will not work
The coffee machine will not process the order because the safety system has been activated. (The machine reads Error 2 or Error 5)
Machine has been exposed to cold for a long period of time
If the machine has been exposed to the cold for a long period of time, heating may be disabled for safety reasons. To fix this issue, bring the machine to room temperature (60℉) slowly.
