HP Pavilion dv7 won't boot up

Your computer will not boot.

Hard drive or RAM issues

If your computer's hard drive or RAM is broken, it will turn on but crash to a black screen with no text and be unable to boot up normally. Computer may beep with flashing LEDs. Before replacing the hard drive, perform a hard reset. To perform a hard reset, power down the computer and disconnect all devices. Then remove the battery, and press and hold the power button for at least 15 seconds. Then plug in the battery and power cord and attempt the boot the computer normally. If the problem persists, first attempt to replace the RAM. If replacing the RAM fails to solve the issue, you may need to replace the hard drive.

Disk cannot be read

Your computer will not read any disks.

Optical Drive Issues

Ensure your disk is properly inserted into drive

Check the disk for scratches or any thing that could obstruct it from being read (dirt, water-stains, etc.).

Close all programs and try running the disk (or other disks) again.

When you insert a CD or DVD, the disk will not load or play, and the disk icon does not appear on your desktop. You may be able to hear a scratching or scraping noise or the disk will not spin. You will need to replace the optical drive.

Some or all keys do not type

Some or all keys on the keyboard do not respond when clicked.

Keyboard Issues

Restart your computer.

Some or all of your keys will not respond. If problem persists across restarting the computer and a hard reset, you will need to replace either the keyboard or logic board.

Computer does not identify or connect to any wireless networks

Your computer does not identify or connect to wireless networks.

Wifi issues

Run a diagnostic check.

Double check that your wireless network connection is enabled, and wireless network switch is turned on.

Ensure all passwords and encryption are correct, and computer is updated with the current WLAN drivers and BIOS.

Reset the power in your device and ISP/DSL modem.

Move your computer closer to reduce interference

Connect computer to router.

Computer cannot identify or connect to any wireless networks. Your wifi card is broken and needs to be replaced.

I can't turn on my pavilion dv7-4065dx entertainment notebook. I have charged it and the battery says it is full. I've hold the turn-on button for 15 sec, and still hasn't came to life. I'm very confused! Hope you guys have a good day.
