Ze5000 is Not Powering On

The device will not turn on and shows no sign of power.

The Battery Charger is Not Properly Plugged In

Oftentimes, device users will mistakenly not insert the battery charger fully. Be sure to verify that the power-input is connected to the outlet and the charging-input is securely placed into the charging outlet of the HP Pavilion ze5000 device. If the charger will still not allow the device to turn on, the user may need to replace the battery charger.

The HP Pavilion Ze5000 Battery is Dead

First attempt to turn on the device using the power button. Refer to the button that is placed right above the keyboard, that is long and slim. Press on the power button for at least ten seconds to see if the device responds. If the device continues to remain unresponsive, then a replacement of the battery may be the best option. The Laptop’s Processor May Be Overheating

Since electronic devices have a specific range for its operating temperature, a device is likely to stop responding if the temperature is over or under that range. The device may be overheating if the processor is doing too many tasks at once, or if the internal cooling fans are malfunctioning. In the case that a possible option would be to refer to the Hardware malfunction section. Otherwise, the most likely fix would be to power down the device and wait for the laptop to cool down to room temperature.

There is an Error with Your Laptop’s Drivers

Specifically pertaining to an error with the touchpad and keyboard, the drivers may need to be reinstalled in order to have them work properly. Simply right click on the driver, and uninstall the driver. Once uninstalled, go into the CD-Drive of your computer and find the driver and reinstall it.

A Piece of Hardware is Malfunctioning

If the device is experiencing a hardware malfunction, there is a number of possible pieces of hardware that could be malfunctioning. The most likely pieces of hardware would be the cooling fan, the touchpad, and the keyboard. If any of these are malfunctioning, it might need to be replaced with a new hardware replacement. If none of these causes seem to fix anything, then you may have a virus. Viruses can easily go undetected and require an experts approach to handling them. The Device has been Running for too Long

When a laptop goes too long without powering down, the system can take longer to perform functions than it should. In order to alleviate this, a simple hard reset can get your computer running smooth again. To hard reset, simply hold down the power button until your device powers off. Do not simply press the button, as this may only power down the screen. Wait five to ten minutes and then turn the device back on.

The Device Has Too Much Running At Once

Since the device is relatively old compared to today’s technology, its processing speeds are much slower than what is expected for modern laptops. Because of this, it is easy for a user to try and multitask much more than the device can handle and cause every task to move much slower. To delete these tasks, open the task manager on the device and if you are unfamiliar with any task that is currently being performed, or are aware that the task that is occurring is no longer needed, delete the task through the task manager. Also, opening up your internet browser and deleting any tabs you do not need will make the computer run smoother and faster.

Your Device May Have Too Much Occupied Storage

If your device is reaching its limit as far as storage is concerned, your computer will begin to run much slower. In order to fix this, you have two options. First, you can either go through your device and begin to delete all downloads that you don’t currently need. Doing this will free up space on the device and an increase in operating speeds. However, if everything on your device is needed regularly, you may need to purchase an additional storage device such as an external hard drive, or you can upgrade your laptops hard drive storage by replacing the current hard drive with a larger one.

The device will not show anything on the screen leaving it black

The Device is Off

If the device is not powered on, there is no way for the device to display anything. Ensure that the device is in fact, turned on and plugged in to a power source.

The Screens Brightness is Low

If the brightness is turned to its lowest setting, the image on the screen may appear incredibly dark and very difficult to discern. The settings for brightness can be changed through prompts on the screen , however, since the screen can not actually be seen, it is best to use the brightness buttons located at the top of keyboard of the laptop.

The Screen May Be Broken
