Battery Damage

If your device fails to hold a charge and/or doesn’t present the proper battery percentage, you may have a damaged battery.

Overcharging your battery

Leaving your laptop on the charger for too long can damage your laptop’s battery. Not allowing your laptop to experience low power and leaving it on charge can over power the battery thus causing your battery to only operate when charged. To replace the battery, purchase the appropriate battery and follow this guide for removal and replacement.

Destruction to battery

Due to consistent dropping, user may experience minor to severe damage to the laptop’s battery. Damage to the battery due to dropping can result in your battery to have a shorter battery life. Damage to the battery due to water damage can result in your laptop being unable to display the proper battery percentage. If the user experiences any of these symptoms, it is recommended that the user use this repair guide to replace the battery properly.

Constant Crashing

Unable to operate laptop without the device crashing/freezing.

Accidental damage to hard drive

Due to dropping or other variations of accidental damage, your hard drive becomes damaged as well resulting in constant experience with Blue Screens. Install a new hard drive to your laptop in order to resolve this issue.

Overheating

Experiencing multiple occasions of laptop becoming too hot or loud fan noises

Fan malfunction

Having a damaged hard drive results in the laptop’s fan to over work itself while experience crashes and Blue Screens, leading to the laptop overheating and fan failure. To resolve this issue, replace the fan by purchasing the appropriate replacement and use this guide to remove and install.

Dusty Laptop

If your laptop is very dusty it will not be able to dissipate the heat efficiently resulting in overheating and poor performance. To clean, open the back panel and gently wipe dust away.

Blocked Airway

Anything obstructing the vent will not allow the laptop to dissipate heat causing the laptop to rapidly overheat. To avoid this common source of overheating make sure to use flat level surfaces while operating to allow for optimal airflow.

Difficulty booting up and awkward noise

Booting up the device takes longer than previously and an occasional noise occurs while operating.

Damage to device’s RAM

RAM (Random Access Memory) is an internal hardware in your laptop which stores all data. Having too much memory can damage your RAM resulting in your laptop taking too long to start up and a weird noise coming from the RAM. Follow these steps to replace your laptop’s RAM.
