Unresponsive Keys

Keyboard not registering keystrokes.

Debris Under Keys and/or Dirty Keyboard

In a clean environment, use compressed air to blow out around the keys not working. If they are still not working, remove the key using a pry tool and clean the keys with rubbing alcohol. Be sure to not over saturate the keyboard with rubbing alcohol to prevent damage from liquid residue.

Keyboard Printed Circuit Board (pcb) is Non-Functional

If cleaning the device did not resolve the issue, it is likely that you will need to replace the keyboard.

Blank Screen/Monitor

The screen has no picture when the laptop is on and active.

Malfunctioning Graphics Hardware

Try connecting an external display to the laptop to see if the computer is outputting an image. If the external display does not work, you may need to replace the video card or other related graphics hardware. If the external display does work, try changing the output settings of the device back to the laptop screen. If there is still no picture, your screen may have failed and would need replacement.

Failed Display

You can check connections to ensure everything is secure to the screen. If no faulty connections, you may need to replace the screen.

Computer Will Not Power On

Computer won't turn on or does not respond to power button.

Dead Battery

Plug in the device charger, an then try turning on. If it turns on but dies when you unplug the charger, you have a failed battery. The battery will need to be replaced, see Battery Replacement.

Failed Power Supply

If device won't turn on when plugged in, you could have a faulty charging cable or power supply. These would need replacement.

Headphones Don't Work

Headphones produce no sound when plugged into the headphone jack.

Headphone Jack Dirty

Ensure the operation of headphones on a known working device and check your sound output settings to see if the computer registers the headphones being plugged in. If your headphone jack is dirty, the connection to the headphones will not work. Clean the headphone jack with compressed air or a toothpick, be careful not to damage the port, and try headphones.

Faulty Headphone Jack

If headphones work on another device and the port is clean, your headphone jack has failed. The jack will need to be replaced.

Speakers are not working

No sound is produced or sound is distorted.

Sound Output Destination Incorrect

Check your computer sound settings to ensure the device is attempting to play through speakers.

Blown Speakers

If you are hearing sound but it comes out distorted, the speaker may be blown. The speaker will need to be replaced.

Loose Connection

If you hear nothing and the sound output destination is correct, there may be a loose connection on the speakers or the speaker has failed, and needs replacement.
