Computer is loud during use
The device is emitting loud buzzing, whirring, or clicking during use.
CPU Fan Needs Cleaning
Start by turning the device off and finding the fan exhaust vent on the right side. If it is visible blocked by dust or debris, remove as much as possible by hand, or by using a canister of compressed air. If this does not work, your fan may need to be replaced.

Computer won’t turn on
The device will not turn on, even if it’s charged.
Faulty Battery
Identify the location of your battery, it will be at the top-back of your device. Simultaneously slide the two locks inward to release the battery. Exchange with new battery, it will click into place. Restart computer.
Faulty Motherboard
The Motherboard is another less likely culprit. For replacement

Computer runs slow
The device is slow to open files and run programs.
Low Space/Memory
To help alleviate the problem go through all your documents and saved files and delete or transfer your unneeded files to a secondary device like a USB drive.
Faulty CPU Fan
A warm or overheating device could be to blame. First start by turning off the laptop and ensuring that the device isn’t connected to power. Begin to pull out any dust covering the vents around the device. If there is any dust you cannot remove you can purchase a can of compressed air, or visit *reference the replacement guide* for instructions on opening up the laptop and cleaning out the CPU fan. In the case that this doesn’t work, *reference this replacement guide* to replace the CPU fan.

Computer won’t read CD/DVD
The device won’t read or recognize the disc placed into the tray.
Dirty/Damaged Disk
Check if the problem is with a broken disc. If the disc does not work in another computer, then the disc could be scratched, chipped, or unusable. If the disc does work without problems in another computer, then the problem lies with your laptop Optical Disc Drive (ODD) system.
Outdated Software/Drivers
Check if your device manufacturer has released new software drivers for your device that may correct previous problems. Do this by typing “Device Manager” into your windows search bar, located in the bottom left of your screen, and open Device Manager. Open “Disk Drives” and select the option for your Optical Disc Drive, not your hard drive or solid state drive. Select “Update Driver”, and “Search Automatically for Best Drivers”.
Relevant Replacement Guides
If the previous suggestions did not fix your problem, or if the disc tray itself is malfunctioning, and will not extend or retract, you will need to manually replace the ODD system. Follow the replacement guide found here*
Computer Frequently Freezes/Crashes
The device freezes, can no longer interact with icons, mouse, etc and screen gets stuck on whatever was on it prior to freezing, and/or crashes, restarts without being prompted too or screen turns blue with text on it.
Disconnected/Broken Mouse
The first thing to check for freezing would be the mouse. If you are using an external mouse, make sure that it did not get unplugged, or if wired, that the batteries haven’t died. If you use the built in mouse pad, check that the mouse pad isn’t off or broken by plugging in an external mouse that you know works and see if that works.
Overheating
If your mouse is functioning, or you have a combination of freezing and crashing, make sure that your device is not overheating. This can be due to the device being on a surface that is not optimal for proper airflow to the fan, for example a carpet, bed, your lap, etc. Otherwise it could be that your fan is broken and needs replacing, see replacement guide links below.
Virus/Malware
Another problem could be malicious software, this is software that contains or made your device susceptible to a computer virus. In that cause make sure to run a Malware software and/or a virus software to check for any problematic software that was downloaded.
Faulty RAM Chip
If all else fails, chances are that the problem lies in your RAM memory chip. This chip stores the temporary memory for your computer to do work. If this chip is bad it can cause freezing and blue screens/ crashing. If these problems occur regularly when using large memory applications on your device, such as a game, recording software, photoshop, etc then there is a good chance your RAM chip is to blame. Refer to replacement guides below.
