Tablet Will Not Turn On

Faulty Battery

If your Ematic will not hold a charge or is dead, the battery might be drained. Charge your Ematic, by plugging it into your computer or AC adapter. Your Ematic should begin to charge its battery. The charging light should be on. If the Ematic will no longer charge, you will need to replace the battery. You can use the battery replacement guide: Ematic EGQ307 Battery Replacement.

Flattened Battery

Your battery may have become "flattened" to where it can't accept charge from the wall charge. Try trickle charging your tablet from a low voltage connection. Trickle charging is where you charge the battery at much lower voltage than normal. Lithium based batteries are known to be highly sensitive to overcharging, which may prevent the battery from holding charge. A low voltage charge can be a PC USB port, or a low powered phone charger. Try to trickle charge for 8 to 10 hours.

Screen Is Blank or Distorted

Loose Touchscreen

The touchscreen can come loose and no longer connect properly with the motherboard. This can happen when the tablet becomes jostled or handled roughly. If the touchscreen is lose, you will need to remove the touchscreen, and then reattach it to the motherboard correctly. Use the following guide: Ematic EGQ307 LCD Replacement, for instructions on removing the touchscreen.

Software Issue

If your screen is blank and has no signs of damage or distortion, the problem may be software related. Make sure your Android OS is up to date. If necessary, try doing a Factory Reset, but make sure to back up any important files first.

The touchscreen might simply be faulty and need to be replaced. Use the following replacement guide: Ematic EGQ307 LCD Replacement, for replacing the touchscreen.

There Is No Sound

Faulty Speaker

Your speaker might be blown, or the connecting wires might be lose. If either scenario is the case, you will have to open your tablet and repair or replace your speaker. You can find instructions for how to replace your speaker using this guide: Ematic EGQ307 Speaker Replacement.

Software Issue

Issues with the audio on your tablet might be software related. Before opening your tablet, you should make sure your Android OS is up to date. If that doesn't work, do a Factory Reset; make sure you back up anything you want to save.

The Camera Is Not Working

Software Issue

If your camera isn't working or only giving you a black screen, this may be an issue with your camera app. Try reinstalling it and make sure your Android OS is up to date. Restart your tablet. If none of these options work, perform a Factory Reset. Remember to backup anything you want to save.

Damaged Lenses

Sometimes the lenses on your camera may be damaged by hard impacts or scratches. You can replace your camera using the camera replacement guide: Ematic EGQ307 Front Facing Camera Replacement.
