Netbook fails to charge
When I try to charge the notebook, nothing happens.
Charging Cord Is Loose
The cord might not be plugged in all the way. Try unplugging the charging cord, then cleaning any debris off the cord. Re-plug the cord back in and listen for a clicking sound when the cord is plugged in. The cord should then be completely connected. An image of a battery with a lightning bolt or a cable should appear near the bottom of the screen if the device is charging properly.
Faulty Charging Cord
The charging cord might be defective. If re-plugging in the cord doesn't work, you may need to purchase a replacement charging cord.
Corroded Battery
The battery may be corroded. Try removing the battery, by using a small Phillips head screwdriver, from the back of the device. Clean any debris on the battery or inside the battery compartment. Placing the battery back in should allow the notebook to charge normally.
Faulty Battery
The battery may be defective. If cleaning the battery or battery compartment doesn’t work, you may need to purchase a replacement battery.
Wireless Connection Does Not Work
I can't connect to the Wifi.
Not Connected To My Network
The device might be connected to the wrong network. Sign out of the network, then sign in to your network. Also, you should enable the Connect Automatically option. This will allow the device to always stay connected to your network and not join someone else’s by mistake.
No Connection
The device may not be getting a signal from the router. If there is no signal from the wireless network, first try to reset the router by turning it off, then on again. The device should then prompt you to sign in or join the network.
Wireless Connection Is Too Weak
I have Wifi but I can't open the internet.
Signal Proximity
The device may be too far away from the router to acquire a usable signal. Move the device closer to the router to get a better signal.
Connection Settings
The Wifi may not be configured properly. Go into the device's connection settings and make sure the right network is chosen and that it has an active signal.
No Display
The monitor on my CrystalView NB4-35788 does not show anything, and I know the computer is turned on.
Display Off
The display might have been accidentally disabled. Press the “Fn” key in the lower left corner of the keyboard and then press “F2.” If the display was disabled, then this will re-enable the display.
Device Is Not Functioning Properly
My tasks are taking a long time to load/complete.
Device is Running Slowly
There may be a task taking up too much CPU. Hold down the CTRL+ALT+DELETE keys to open the task manager. Select all of the tasks currently running and not being used. Choose "end task." This should free up the CPU and allow the program you are using to run more smoothly.
Device is Frozen
If the task manager will not open, the notebook is most likely frozen. This can occur if the CPU is trying to do too many things at a time. Hold down the power button for approximately 10-15 seconds to shutdown the device. Wait a few seconds and press the power button again to restart the device.
