Device will not turn on
Though button is being slid into "on" position, the device will not turn on.
Battery exhausted
The battery may need to be charged or replaced. See Battery Replacement Guide.
Switch stuck in "off" position
The switch needs to be cleaned. If the switch will still not move after being cleaned, the switch may need to be replaced. See 'On'/'Off' Replacement Guide.
Device is entirely unresponsive
The motherboard is no longer functioning and needs to be replaced. See Motherboard Replacement Guide.
Device will not show readings
The device is on, but the screen is not showing any readings.
The screen is broken
The screen needs to be replaced. See Screen Replacement Guide.
The wires are faulty
The lead cords are not picking up measurements and need to be replaced. Purchase new wires.
The dial is stuck between modes
The dial needs to cleaned and un-stuck. If this does not help, the dial needs to be replaced. See Dial Replacement Guide.
Alternatively, the ball bearings under the dial may need to be replaced. See Ball Bearings Replacement Guide.
Device will not switch modes
The device needs to be used to measure in a different mode, but the dial is unable to turn.
The dial is stuck
The dial needs to cleaned and un-stuck. See Dial Replacement Guide.

My multimeter will not zero out when testing ohms resistance. It just stays on 1 when I touch the ends of the probes to each other. How do I zero out?

Randy Try using 2K setting or greater, if your using 200 Ohms, remember leads will always have at least ~ 00.5 Ohms. Bill

resistance scales not working, everything else is ok. seems to be a common failure.

Cen-tech P37772 Display 3/4 lit. Add thin shim in back of display, close the display, that should solve display only 3/4 lit. B' squared
