Archos 5 Troubleshooting Guide

Check to make sure your device is fully charged. Make sure the charger is correctly plugged into the device and the wall outlet. If your Archos 5 does not respond to its adapter, there could a problem with your charger.

You have trouble listening to sounds on your Archos 5.

If the audio sound is distorted when listening through the devices’s speakers, the audio speaker may be corrupt. It's unlikely your headphones or speakers are bad, but it's worth a try to eliminate these as the source of your problem at the beginning. Try your Archos 5 with another set of headphones just to make sure that the problem is with the actual device.

Test audio through the device speakers, then test it using different headphones. If the audio is only distorted while listening via headphones, the headphones themselves may be faulty. Audio that cuts in and out is a sign of a loose audio jack, so make sure the audio jack is fully inserted in the device. If it is not, the headphone jack needs to be replaced

The device may be operating in an incorrect resolution. To fix this, double check the Resolution settings. You should be able to customize your brightness and zoom.
