The Alcatel IdealXCITE Will Not Power On

The Alcatel IdealXCITE does not respond to pushing the power button.

The Device is Not Charged

The battery of the Alcatel IdealXCITE may have consumed all its available power and might need charged. Plug the Alcatel IdealXCITE into the provided charging cord or similar aftermarket power cord. According to www.att.com the Alcatel IdealXCITE takes approximately one hour to charge to 50% and 2 hours and 30 mins to charge to 100%.

Charger is Faulty

The charger provided with your Alcatel IdealXCITE may have become damaged and is no longer providing power to your phone. Try visually inspecting the power cord for damage. If you find damage or broken wires the charger may need to be replaced. If the charger does not have any visual signs of damage it may still be the cause of the phone not charging. Try using a different charger to power the device. If this resolves the issue you may have to replace your charger.

Battery is Faulty

Plug your Alcatel IdealXCITE into a working charger. If the phone still does not charge this indicates that there could be a problem with the battery. Failing to charge the phone is a symptom of faulty battery. The battery of the Alcatel IdealXCITE may need to be replaced.

Occasionally the Alcatel IdealXCITE may fail to properly open the camera application, and a hard restart may resolve the problem. Try removing the battery, waiting 30 seconds and then reinstalling the battery. Once the battery is installed plug it into a charger and attempt to restart the phone normally.

Camera Unit is Bad

Normal use or a hard impact to the phone may have damaged the camera. This may cause the phone to not properly take photos. The camera unit may need replaced.

Audio Is Distorted

You have trouble listing to sounds through the phone.

The Phone Settings are Not Adjusted Properly

During normal use the Alcatel IdealXCITE may have accidentally been switched into mute mode, or the volume setting may have been set too low to hear. Attempt to adjust the volume by pressing the volume control button on the side of the phone, check to make sure the phone is not set into mute or silence mode.

The Phone Case May Be Interfering with Sound Quality

If you have installed a phone case on your Alcatel IdealXCITE the case may be interfering with the speaker. Try removing the case and attempt a phone call to see if that resolves the issue. If the case is interfering with the sound you may need to replace the case.

The Phone is Connected to a Bluetooth Device

During normal use your Alcatel IdealXCITE may have connected to a Bluetooth device. Open the Bluetooth application and check to see if the phone is connected to another device. If it is connected to a Bluetooth device, disconnect the Bluetooth device as it may be transmitting the sound to the other device. Then attempt to make a phone call to check the phone audio.

The Phone Antenna is Damaged and May Need Replaced

If during the use of the phone you experience static or poor audio the cellular antenna may be damaged. Start by checking to see if the poor audio issues are only related to phone calls. Try playing a video or using the phone’s built in alarm. If the phone’s audio works properly and the problem only occurs during calls this may be an indication that the antenna is bad. Attempt replacing the cellular antenna.

Replace the Antenna

The Phone’s Speaker Unit May Be Damaged

Occasional, the Alcatel IdealXCITE’s speaker unit may become damaged. Try playing a video or using the alarm. Also, check the volume and make sure the Bluetooth is not connected to another device. If all other options to correct the poor audio have been unsuccessful the Alcatel IdealXCITE’s speaker unit may be damaged and need to be replaced.
