Black Screen
The laptop turns on but displays nothing
Outdated Graphics Card Driver
Connect your laptop to another display and see if everything appears there or not. In case they do appear, that means the graphics drivers are outdated. Go to Acer official website and download and install the latest drivers for your computer.
Faulty Hardware
Faulty hardware can cause black screen on your laptop. Remove the connected hardware from the laptop and see if this is where the problem lies. Then follow some of the following ways to fix this issue. Turn off your laptop remove the hard drive, the battery and any attached peripheral devices. Press and hold the power button for 60 seconds and release. Put your battery in and plug the charger. Then don’t plug anything else. Boot your laptop again to see if it works now. If the laptop still turns on but the display shows nothing then follow this second method.
- First, try to wake up the display by using Windows key + Ctrl + Shift+ B.
- Second, if an external device is connected to your Laptop, disconnect them as they could be the reason for the black screen in your device.
- Lastly, Troubleshooting to fix the black screen to do this you have to restart your PC and boot in the safe mode.
- If the laptop still shows a black screen then replace the faulty screen.
When You Plug in The Charger, The Battery Fails to Charge and Has Short Battery Life
When you are trying to charge the computer with charging cable, it won’t charge and the battery charge doesn’t last long enough.
Faulty Power Adapter
When you plug the charger in the socket, make sure the light on the charger is on and computer charges properly. If this doesn’t work, you will need to change your computer charger.
Faulty Battery
If the charger is working properly but still the battery doesn’t last long enough, it may be because the battery has reached the end of its usable life. Run the Acer self-diagnostic test to see if the battery is okay or not. If the message shows that your battery reached the end of its life, then you need to replace the battery. The Power Button is Not Working Properly
You are pressing the power button to turn on your PC but, it won’t turn on.
Power Button is Damaged
In this case, the power button may be broken. We will need to replace the entire power button switchboard.
The Laptop Overheats and Shuts Down Without Any Warning
The laptop is hotter than regular and may freeze up or shut down promptly.
Fans Not Working Properly
The fans on your laptop can accumulate dust over time. The first step in this section is to clean the fans from dust, if this didn’t work then we will need to replace the fans or install additional fans.
Dried Thermal Paste
The degenerated thermal grease between heat sink and processor dries out over time causing processor temperature to overheat more quickly.
Poor Audio Quality on The Speaker
Your computer’s speakers don’t produce the same quality of sound that is used to produce?
Software Issues
It is possible that somebody might have changed the audio setting on your computer, so resetting the audio setting can help solve this problem.
Damaged Speakers

Malfunctioning of Keys on The Keyboard
The keyboard doesn’t work or some of the keys on the keyboard don’t work as expected.
Small Pieces Under the Keyboard Button
Small pieces of food, mud, and other materials can go under the keyboard and damage the buttons or stop them from working as expected. This will require opening the keyboard area and cleaning it.
Faulty Keyboard
If the keys are still not working, then it is a mechanical issue and we will need to replace the keyboard.

The laptop is running slow and sometimes freezes up.
RAM Problems
When we are running too many programs at the same time, it will take all the available RAM in the PC and can make it harder for the processor to process the information which often results in slow speed. Your computer’s process has to look for every piece of data to find a specific one. Once we fill the entire capacity of the hard drive with data, the computer processing speed slows down because it has to look in the entire drive to find what we requested.
