If you have firewire devices connected and they are recognized by your Mac, System Profiler should be able to list the devices. If it does not, I would try logging out and logging back into a different account, and trying System Profiler again. If you get the same result (no devices shown), try zapping PRAM (hold down Command, Option, P and R keys simultaneously when booting the Mac, and keep holding them until you hear 3 or more startup chimes).
I am completely unable to remove the power supply. I followed all steps, but at the last, the power supply does not move at all. I can wiggle it a fraction of an inch from side to side, but that’s it. Need help!
The wing closed to the edge of the chassis is completely stuck. I’ve worked on it for an hour. The other wing moves freely. I’m not sure what to do now.
Using iFixIt’s adhesive strips, i cannot strip off the white backing. Pulling on the tab pulls the wrong backing off, the black backing. I can:t figure a way to do this correctly!
