Just a further note of caution on this; When cutting through the adhesive holding the glass it is REALLY IMPORTANT to only insert the tool up to approx 6mm under the edge of the glass. Sliding it in further can damage the digitizer. At the long edges the adhesive under the glass is only approx 2-3mm from the edge. On the short edges it is wider, maybe 5-6mm from the edge. Once the adhesive is hot it is quite easy to cut with a plastic guitar pick but do not slide it in too far. I used a little alcohol on a cotton bud to lubricate the guitar pick and help it slide. Once the glass is off, the access to the remaining parts is quite straightforward. You will need to source a replacement adhesive strip which can be found on internet sellers.
Oh, I see. On this model the bezel is screwed to the back so you have to go in from the front, by removing the glass. Only then can you undo the screws and remove the back cover. I’ll need to get a new adhesive to re-fit the screen before I begin. Just found this helpful video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H6ZM_arR...
