Mystery flexible Antenna located on the screen assembly LG V20 H918I noticed this flexible antenna (see pictures) mounted on the top of the screen assembly just above the grille of the...
Rispondi a "Where is the antenna located in the lg v20"This is an update to the never ending quest to figure out the antennas on the LG V20, and in my case specifically the H918 (T-Mobile) but the others are probably similar: This is a list of what I know for a fact and have confirmed: — WiFi: 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz antennas are located inside the TOP bumper of the phone ONLY. — Cell Data: There are RX antennas on both the top and bottom bumpers, and the radio is a “diversity” receiver. A diversity receiver has more than one antenna (in this case 2), and it switches from one to another to get the best signal. It is constantly monitoring the signal quality and strength on each at the same time and uses the best of the two for receive. My To Do list: — Test my theory that the TX (Cell Data) mostly uses the bottom bumper. I suspect that one or more bands may use the top one for TX as well. Figure out for each band (2, 4, 12, 66) if the TX is on the bottom or top. — Determine exactly what each spring loaded terminal on the top and bottom of the phone where it connects...
Rispondi a "Why my LG TV Screen flickering and displays horizontal and vertical"Based on the image on the screen repeating itself several times vertically, I would pop open the back of the TV and look for swollen capacitors on the main board and power supply. Noise on the power supply rails can easily cause all sorts of issues. Does the symptom change as the TV warms up? Did it get hit or dropped?
Rispondi a "USB C port replacement"It can in fact be removed and replaced, but you definitely need a hot air rework station, in my opinion. I did find a YouTube video by a very talented person who was able to do it without a hot air rework station. The video is very well done, and I only wish I had his talent and steady hands. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WgXMjRAU... I took an old broken LG V20 logic board and was successfully able to remove the connector without damaging the board using my rework station. However, due to the heat, the connector that was removed did not survive. The board was fine, and no other SMD parts were moved or appeared damaged. I know that you can purchase the connector itself on Ebay. Be aware that it has both surface mount pins and 6 thru hole pins as well.
