https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?cat... This is a link to a search for the battery on AliExpress, you can find many replacements, with prices starting at $219.99 (USD). The real problem with repair or recreation of these batteries is opening the unit without damaging it. I'd love to be able to open the battery unit and test the cells to see if one is faulty and preventing further charging. I'm a hair’s breadth from buying a replacement battery myself, as my battery won't charge anymore and Xiaomi don't support the cycle in my region. But that $219+ replacement price isn't a small amount, so I'm struggling on without the battery for the moment.
Nope, Nintendo engineered the Lite as a refinement of the original. Therefore almost every component is different! Likely to become cheaper to manufacture.
Now that the original NDS is getting on in years, it’s possible that these silicone covers have become more fragile. I’ve shredded all 4 silver covers of my original silver nds.

If some of your screws spin free but can’t be removed, it maybe that the screw posts have separated from the shell.
This makes separating the back panel more difficult, but it will still work.
The plastic used for the original silver nds may be the most prone to the UV damage that causes the plastic to become brittle.
Nice job, I've just received one of these and am much happier with my purchase after learning about the inside of this sweet ride. Thanks!
