I run a small repair service in North East Colorado, USA. I do a number of different repairs on anything from Smartphones, Tablets, Phablets, PCs, Laptops, Televisions, Monitors, Gaming Consoles and numerous other electronic devices of various brands. I also build custom PCs on request. I am also knowledgeable in woodworking and other construction related repairs. As well as repairing power tools. I would say I am a very well rounded DIY person. My goal in running my repair service is to save people money while performing a more reliable repair than major repair shops.
I have previously worked for Apple technical support and Intel technical support. I have also worked with building materials in the construction field for many years.
I have a high success rate when it comes to repairs and I take pride in the work I perform. If I can figure out how something works than I can usually figure out how to fix it.
If anyone is interested in my repair services and prices than please contact me. I prefer to be contacted through email. I can then provide an estimate of the repair cost. I do accept items that are not to large and need repaired to be mailed to my address too. If you would like me to perform a repair I will then provide a shipping address, telephone number and other information as needed.
Email address: email@example.com
Thanks everyone and best of luck on all your repairs.

Rispondi a "Laptop won't stay on unless it's hook up to the charger"Double check to make sure you battery is seated properly first. But going off your description of the problem you are having a new battery would most likely fix the issue since it works fine while connected to a charger and shuts off after removing the charger. This does sound like a faulty battery and I would recommend replacing the battery to fix your issue.
Rispondi a "Replacing screen with other phone's screen"Yes it is possible. If they are both for the same carrier you can transfer the screen and midframe to the other phone. If they are from different carriers like at&t(gsm) and Verizon (cdma) then the midframe and motherboard layout are slightly different. In this case you can still transfer the display but without the midframe. If you had to you can also use a Dremel tool to grind down the midframe to make another carriers motherboard fit the midframe. This is not the funnest thing to do but is doable if needed. All carriers use the same display but depending on the cellular technology used (gsm vs cdma) the midframe and motherboard vary slightly. Removing just the display from the midframe, may or may not be necessary depending on the carrier. Either way the display is the same for all carriers so yes you can swap them out if you wish.
Rispondi a "My tablet is not changing when I plug it on"When you are able to charge the tablet by moving the charging cable in a certain position this can indicate a damaged cable or an issue with the charge port. If you have not tried a different cable or charger to charge the tablet then I would recommend trying that first. If you know the charge cable works fine with other devices then you can safely assume it's the charge port causing issues. Sometimes the charge ports solder joints weaken over time and crack. Or the pins in the charge port may break. Any time you can charge a device by holding a known working charging cable in a certain position it is a issue with the charge port having a loose or broken connection to the motherboard, a broken pin, or similar damage. So if you find it's not an issue with the cable then you will likely need the charge port replaced if it's damaged or simply resoldered if the charge port is undamaged and has a loose connection caused by cracked solder joints. So start by troubleshooting with a known working cable, if it...
Rispondi a "Has a black screen but does have sound"It may be one or more burnt out LED lights in the LED light strips which are used as the backlight in the tv. You can often find replacement LED strips on sites like eBay or possibly shopjimmy once you have the correct part number from the LED light strips in your TV. YouTube videos about replacing LED light strips in LED TVs may give you a good idea of what you will be up against. http://www.shopjimmy.com/samsung/un60fh6... https://m.youtube.com/results?q=un60fh62...
Rispondi a "TV does not come on at all."I agree with Old Turkey. It sounds like a tv problem. Many models of Samsungs tv's have had issues with bad capacitors. This is a design flaw on the power supply board in the tv. Samsung was using capacitors with to low of a voltage rating which eventually causes the capacitors to fail. If you look at the power supply board , you can usually tell by looking at the capacitors if any are faulty. They usually will bulge at the top and may even start leaking. So I would check the power supply board for issues first.
Rispondi a "I'm having various charging problems?"Sounds like you have a failing battery. Many devices will power on and be functional when connected to power such as a charger or PC, even when the battery is failing. Sounds as if your battery is no longer able to hold a charge. The big indicator for me is you can use it when connected to a charger but once removed it shuts right off. That's almost always a battery issue. You can follow this guide to help replace the battery. Motorola Moto G 1st Generation Battery Replacement
Rispondi a "Powering iPhone 5s on without home or power buttons?"If your phone has had a broken power button for awhile and you let the battery drain often to the point of the phones turning off then there is a chance your battery may need replaced. Lithium ion batteries will have a shorter lifespan if a person let's the battery drain below a certain percentage often (below 20-30%), especially if it's to the point it shuts the phone off. I know you mentioned that the battery still had plenty of battery left but the software that monitors the battery percentage may be inaccurate at times especially if your battery has an issue. Since plugging the phone into the charger does not power it on eventually like it should then I would start by inspecting the charge port for damaged or missing pins or if it's dirty and needs cleaned. If the charge port and your charging cable appear to be ok then you may consider checking the battery next. You can use a volt meter on the batteries connector which plugs into the motherboard to check it's voltage if desired. Or replace the...
Rispondi a "Why is the unit not turning on?"I do believe 2.95v from the battery is to low to power on the phone. It would require closer to the area of 3.4v to power on the phone. So it could possibly be a failing battery. It may be a number of things but it could not hurt to start by trying another battery first as the one you have will not power on the phone due to not enough voltage being supplied to the motherboard. May also be the charge port is damaged or needs cleaned and your battery has discharged below the required voltage to power on the phone due to a damaged charge port.
Rispondi a "Nexus 6 only turns on when the charger is plugged in"If it only stays powered on when connected to a charger then the battery is failing and should be replaced. I know you say software tells you your battery is ok but that is not always accurate. If you have a device with a failing battery they can start doing odd things. So how can you trust the software is correct when your phones shuts off at random charge levels. This to me points even more to a failing battery. Especially after the steps you've taken to try and diagnose a software battery calibration issue. So I do recommend replacing the battery.
Rispondi a "Have cracked digitizer screen."Here are a few links to some replacement digitizer's for this device the Chuwi hi10 plus. This is the part you want if the LCD still displays an image correctly but the front glass and digitizer we're damaged and the screen no longer responds to touch properly. If the LCD is damaged and does not display an image correctly you will also want to replace the LCD. I only gave links to replacement digitizer parts because I assume your LCD is functional. If the LCD was damaged too let me know and I can help find a replacement LCD and supply you with some links. http://m.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=Chuwi+... https://m.dhgate.com/product/wholesale-10-8-quot-inch-touch-screen-for/395957557.html#pd-104
