does it not matter whether the model no does not match the console id and will the cooling fan still work or do I need to have the same model as the current cooling fan already in the Xbox as I have heard that I have to have the right or the same model number in order for it to work with any components or is that not the case for an xbox cooling fan as mine is rattling and is annoying

Hi!
What do you mean regarding the console serial number? The cooling fan is not tied to the serial number.
As long as you buy a new cooling fan that fits the Xbox One Original, your good.
Make sure you don’t get the Xbox one S or X cooling fans.. you need the original (1st) one.

No, it does not need to match the console serial number. It’s not tied to a serial number.
