How do I safely remove the anti-shatter film?

I'd like to remove the plastic film that comes applied to the console. I know nintendo said not to remove it, but it scratches so easily (mine is already scratched) and it gets all smudged by fingerprints - basically, it's awful.

I am hoping that by removing it, the scratches will go with it. I can then add a tempered glass screen protector afterwards

Hi!

What do you mean with the anti-shatter film?

You can't remove any layer (that is pre-applied in the factory) from the screen...

You probably need to replace the touchscreen to get it "scratch free" at this moment.

Tempered glass should have been applied before it was scratched.

Sorry!

Hey, thanks for the quick answer.

There is a thin plastic layer pre-applied to the screen that is meant to prevent glass fragment scattering in case of damage. Some people have had success in removing it and adding a glass protector afterwards.

Ah sorry, yes the Switch 2 does come with a factory installed "protective screen layer". Same as for the OLED's. The thing is, that it's recommended to place a new screen protector or tempered glass protector over it! Anyway, if you wish to proceed to replace it, you can watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tELAMWhX... (at 3:00 you can see how he removes it).

Please let me know if you have any questions!
