- Remove the cat from the kitchen.
- Keep any touch-activated panel controls clean and free of debris
- Also, clean any electrical rotary knob selectors/buttons.
- Isopropyl alcohol is ideal for this task. Make sure the range isn't powered when cleaning analog knob controls
- Consider a child-proof range cover
- Engage Child safety locks/features on the appliance when not in use, if available.
- If randomly turning on continues for your safety, turn off the range by unplugging it, shutting off the range's natural gas if it's a burner range, shutting off its breaker, and consult a professional appliance repair technician
