Disc player stopped working (RVL-001)

As the title says the disc drive stopped working model (RVL-001) USA, compatible with game cube, I am from Europe and I can't buy one in the USA, however I found this one( Nintendo Wii DVD Drive ) from here on the site, would there be any problem since the drive is European and the Wii is American? The Wii doesn't read discs unfortunately

Hi!

The region lock is coming from the motherboard. It should work if you swap the drive.

You also do not need to swap the PCB, it should work straight away.

But, beside this, it's probably pretty expensive to ship the drive from the States to the EU. So when you are located in the EU, I would check if there is another shop who will ship it to you (if there is any).
