Why is my laptop not displaying

Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check if there's a display from the laptop showing on it. Don't forget to press the display function key on the top row of the keyboard, to toggle to display output from the laptop to the external monitor.

If there's no display on the external monitor either, then there's a problem on the motherboard. Are you sure that the laptop is booting into the OS and not just turning on. There is a difference between starting and booting. Check if the HDD light on the left side of the laptop case is blinking indicating that the HDD is being accessed. if it is then the laptop has booted, if not then it hasn't.

If there is a display seen on the external monitor, switch the display back to the laptop screen and then try shining a flashlight at an angle close to the laptop screen, and check if you can see any images on the screen.

They will be very faint if they are there so trying this in a darkened room may help to see them.

If there are no images seen, then it could be a faulty video cable/cable connection between the motherboard and the LCD panel, the video cable is damaged where it passes through the hinge to get from the lower case to the lid or a faulty LCD panel.

If there are images seen, then there's a backlight problem. This could be due to a loose video cable connection, a damaged video cable where it passes through the hinge, a faulty backlight power supply circuit on the motherboard or a faulty LCD panel.

What is the product number of the laptop as shown on the product information label on the bottom of the laptop? This will help to find the correct service manual and also the correct part number for any part that may need replacing.
