Hi @simon5325
Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check if its display is stable and OK. Press the F8 key to toggle between the laptop display and the external display
If so switch back to the laptop display and then try slowly, stress very slowly, moving the lid back and forth to see if doing this affects the laptop's display at all.
The first check using an external monitor, is to determine if there's a problem with the laptop's motherboard or the laptop's display (or video cable from the motherboard to the LCD screen)
If the external monitor display is OK then the second check above is to determine if there's a problem with the video cable that may be affecting the laptop screen display i.e. damaged where it passes through the hinge to get from the motherboard to the display
If the external display is OK and moving the lid doesn't alter what's happening, then most likely there's a problem with the LCD panel in the laptop.
Search online for 18010-15606200 to find suppliers that suit you best.
Here's a video that may help with the replacement.
