Can you hear sound from the TV OK when it is on?

If so, with the TV turned on and sound being heard, try shining a flashlight at an angle close to the screen and check if you can see any images at all. They will be very faint if they are there, so trying this in a darkened room may help.

If you can see images, then there's a backlight problem in the screen.

To isolate the problem further, try the following:

Turn off the TV if on and then disconnect the power to the TV.

Remove the back cover from the TV and then disconnect the cable between the mainboard and the power board at the power board end only.

Reconnect the power to the TV .

The backlight should turn on and stay on. There will be no display on the screen as the mainboard has been disconnected.

If the backlights turn on then there's a problem with either the power board or the mainboard and further testing would be required.

If the backlights don't turn on or if they blink, then there's a problem with backlights or the power board.

To check if the power board is OK, turn off the power to the TV and then disconnect the LED power cable from the power board.

Use a DMM (digital multimeter) and measure the voltage between CNL802 pin 1 and an earth point (head of screw holding the board) and check if you measure approx. +195V DC.

If so there's a problem with the backlight LEDs. It only takes one faulty LED to make all of them not work as they're connected in a series connection.

Perhaps check if there's voltage on pin 3 as this will narrow it down to the first or last two strips in the screen.

If the problem is in the backlights, search on YouTube for videos how to replace LED strips in Samsung TVs. Also search online for UE32F4500AK LED backlight strips to find replacements.

Be safety aware when testing on the power board as there is exposed lethal AC voltage on the power board
