When trying to play games on the Wii mini I just bought some games like Wii sports and Mario party 8 bring up errors when they load the disc opening screens shows but then the game says error please read manual. This didn’t happen with just dance or Luxor 3. Looking through the save files for the console their isn’t data for Mario party 8 or Wii sports.

Are all the discs scratch free? Could it be that the (Mario Party and Wii Sports) discs are scratched/damaged?
If the laser is weak it could have issues reading the discs…
In that case it’s for the best to replace the laser. Or you can bring it to a repair shop which can repair the discs (make it scratch free with polarizing).
Can you share some photo’s regarding the state of the discs? Thanks!

Testing the games on a WiiU they work without issues.
Hi! Yes, can be that your Wii U it’s laser is stronger then your Wii Mini. So it can handle scratches, while your Wii Mini cannot. I recommend to replace the laser for the Wii Mini!
