viewfinder and LCD are black butthe leters os menu are working ok

Hi my friends,

I have quite the same problem, but in my case the viewfinder and LCD are black, butthe leters os menu are working ok and tha camera takes pictures but I d'ont see them in the lcd. If a insert a SD card with later photos, it's ok and I can see in the LCD the pictures I've take before the problem.

I think the problem must be in the camera sensor, is that correct? Thanks for your possible help!

Hi @dumasdiniz

A faulty image sensor or perhaps a loose connection between the image sensor board and the main board is the most likely problem.

Here's the ifixit Nikon Coolpix B700 Lens Assembly Replacement guide that will help.

If it is determined that it is the image sensor, search online for Coolpix B700 cmos sensor part to hopefully find suppliers of the part
