My washing machine cycle came to an end. After 3 minutes it is supposed to unlock, but it didnt. It has drained all the water out, so that's not a problem. I turned the power off on the wall, and it still wouldnt unlock. How can I get my wet washing out?

Jo11, this is a tricky washer. I suppose you did not get any error code to pinpoint it to the interlock mechanism or anything. You can try and open the door on the bottom right on the front of the machine. You will find a small black hose with a plastic plug in the end of it. It pulls out about 6in and you can use a pan. Sometimes a foreign object may prevent your drum from totally emptying, try something like a Shopvac to either suction it or to blow through it toward the drum to loosen things like missing socks ;-) etc.... I attached an image of the locking mechanism from the service manual for your own evaluation

Thanks for your response. I managed to remove the top of the washer and saw that the interlock had burnt out and melted, therefore preventing the door from unlocking. After breaking the interlock off, I was able to access my washing. I have now ordered a new interlock and hope that it will be ok...but still not sure why it burnt out in the first place.
Having looked through some of the forums, it appears that door does give a lot of people trouble. As for the burn out, it may have simple been from loose contacts or shaved insulation. You can download the service manual for a limited time from here Hope this helps.
Thanks for the service manual...very useful! Its a wonder why its not included with the product when you buy it! Hopefully it was just loose contacts...will post an update once I have fit the new interlock!

I've had this issue a couple of times. Both fixes were to run on "Spin Only" -- for some reason the washing machine didn't fully drain and only choosing "Spin Only" seemed to force the machine to fully drain.

Thank you so much for this idea. I got my toolbox out and was about to try and "fix" the machine. I ran the spin only option and the door unlocked in a few seconds, before the cycle even completed. Immensely helpful idea.
This solved my problem with no muss, no fuss. Who knows how much time, energy and money you may have saved me with your simple solution? Thank you!

My washer door seems to be stuck shut because an object is blocking it from inside.

OK. I solved my own problem. There was a piece of clothing caught in the door. I push on the door and restarted the machine and discovered there was a piece of wash stuck in the door. I found this out by watching as I pushed. I started the machine twice and tried dislodge it and luckily I was able to before I burned out anything.

Machine has stopped washing my clothes while there is water and clothes inside, now got a lock key which is not removable and I press all buttons nothing helpful at the moment, what to do in this case.

My washer door wouldn't open after a spin cycle. We had to change the cycle and then it allowed us to open it but the barrel had water in it and the clothes were not spun dry

* i have Samsung washing machine the red key light on so i cant open the door at the end of circle, when i unplug the electrical plug the door open .i try to load it again there is alot of water pumped from the drain and the light sill on the machine not working .
