PC not connecting to monitors

Hi, my PC is not connecting to my monitors. It’s booting up (showing lights) and does show the initial Aorus booting screen but won’t show the windows 10 screen.

I’ve tried:

  • cleaning Ram
  • Reattaching GPU
  • Different HDMI cords
  • Different power supply. ***

Hi @lucas6159,

What is the make and model number of the motherboard and also the GPU?

Can you get into BIOS with a display showing on one monitor?

Hi @lucas6159,

Seeing the makers logo but not Windows indicates a driver problem.

Try starting the PC in safe mode and check if you get a display on one monitor.

If there is then most likely it is a video driver problem or perhaps a GPU card problem.

On startup and in safe mode only generic video drivers are used (for startup they're from BIOS) and it is only when Windows begins to boot that the hardware specific video drivers are installed.

If you unplug the GPU and connect one monitor to the motherboard's HDMI port you should get a display on it using the CPUs integrated graphics.

So I got into safe mode and can see the desktop through the GPU but not sure where to go from here. Do I need to install the appropriate drivers now. It says I have got the correct driver for the P1000?

@lucas6159

Just curious how did you know that the latest drivers are installed?

Did you view this information in safe mode?

Here are the latest video drivers for your GPU.

If they are installed already try rolling back to previous versions and check if it works then. Maybe the latest aren't compatible with a recent update perhaps.

Yes, I launched safe mode. I uninstalled and reinstalled then rebooted and it's fixed!! Thanks
