Scan error - PROBLEM SCANNING SOMETHING WENT WRONG PLEASE TRY AGAIN

why does the scanner scan/take all the documents through the feeder but then give an error message - PROBLEM SCANNING SOMETHING WENT WRONG PLEASE TRY AGAIN . It happens sporadically and can happen for 1 or more pages

I would clean the feed rollers as over time the paper dust makes then slick so they fail to transport the paper through the feeder. Sometimes the rubber looses its tackiness as well which may require replacement.

Thanks I have also been told it could be a software issue.. I will disconnect the printer and reinstall to see if this fixes the issue
