Why is half of the picture discolored (gray)

@eranhirschberg this could be a panel error or a cable issue. You will need to remove the back cover and take a look at the boards. Post a couple of pictures of those when you get to them. Remove the flat ribbon cables that go to the panel. Check those for tears, corrosion or any other damage. Reseat those cables. The left and right sides of the panel are individual driven by some boards that are attached to the LCD, it is possible that the one for the side that is losing the color, is failing.
