@usernamenumber check the sending unit for the fuel gauge. It is mounted in the tank. This is what it looks like.
You will have to take it out of the tank and measure the resistance on the float that off. Once its out you can measure the resistance of the float. In a full state (float all the way up) the resistance should be 100 OHm and when empty (float all the way down) it should be around 10 Ohms.
You can also check the wiring to the gauge etc
