Why is my display blueish?

Hello,

I have an lg43uj6309, bought in 2017, and since a few months it has been showing deteriorating image quality, everything seems darker and in general blueish. This includes all colours even white, it seems like there is a blue filter on the screen. In the faq to this topic I've read that it might be the backlight, I've already tried to change all the picture settings and reset everything to standard but with no improvement. Is it worth changing the backlight or could it even be that or is it a common problem so that I have to buy a complete new model?

Update (09/25/23)

So the led stripes finally arrived today and I replaced the old ones with the video. Unfortunately now, the TV won't turn on and the red standby light is not on either. Before I dissemble everything again I wanted to ask if you might now what the problem might be. Thank you for your help!

Since adjusting the settings etc didn't resolve the problem replacing the LED strips (supplier example only) would be a cheaper and better option rather than buying a new TV.

No standby light means that either there's a problem with the power board or the main board.

Don't know LG that well but check if the main supply fuse on the power board near where the power cord plugs into, is OK i.e. measure 0.00 Ohms with an Ohmmeter (do this with the power disconnected from the TV) and if it is OK connect power to the TV and check if there is 11.2V on the pwr-on test point on the right side of the board under the P201 connector.

Be safety aware as there is exposed lethal AC voltage on the board when the power is connected.

If the power board is OK it may be the mainboard as it is the board that turns the standby LED on
