Why is my phone overheating after screen replacement?
My phone was run over today I had to have a screen replacement. My face ID does not no longer work and my phone is heating up like crazy. This has never happened

As @luatech mentioned, replacing the wrong screen type may lead to overheating. Also check if you may have a damaged battery and/or charging port. If the problem persists it may be advisable to open your phone with the Sostituzione schermo iPhone 12 guide and check. If needed that guide provides you with all the needed tools. Best of luck^-^

Yep!
If you buy screen replacements don't use sites such as ebay or aliexpress, they may be enticing because they are cheap and may even say OLED, but they will end up being LCD.
You can buy quality OLED screen replacements from:
IFIXIT: https://www.ifixit.com/Store
InjuredGadgets: https://www.injuredgadgets.com/
MobileSentrix: https://www.mobilesentrix.com/
Headlane: https://shop.headlane.co.uk/
Buy from reputable sites such as IFIXIT and you will get quality replacements.
Your battery may also be bad/low quality, you can also buy reputable batteries if needed from these sites.
Good Luck!
I bought regular screen from mobilesentrix. Can this cause this since it’s not oled.

Was it heating up like that before the screen replacement?

Did you transfer the earpiece speaker from the old screen to the new? (its paired)
Also did you replace it with an LCD or an OLED?
LCD on OLED devices can lead to iphones overheating.

'It's been run over', probably the reason it's overheating.

@strongbow Ah that too. Battery may be damaged, or something could have happened on board.
They should check if the board is bent.
