Why is my tablets screen black with a voice?

My tablet hasn't been working so say 2 years now but I’ve decided to finally come on a website to ask for help. Why wait this long? I dont know but i really want help this device contains my old accounts that i really want back. So my tablet can turn on just no screen like the screen is black. How do i know its on? Well it has to seem a voice it tells me the time and stuff on the tablet like “swipe with two fingers to unlock” i cant really use it its hard without being able to actually see the screen how do i fix this? Ive already done a reset but it still does the same if there like a way i can view the screen on computer or something?

Update (07/02/23)

Another thing i did do a reset but it still does the whole black screen with voice.

Hi @monke81246

With the tablet turned on, try shining a flashlight at an angle close to the screen and check if you can see any images at all on the screen. They will be very faint if they are there, so trying this in a darkened room may help.

If they are there then there's a backlight problem with the screen. This could be either in the display module or on the systemboard.

Knowing that it is only the backlights may be useful so that you could use the flashlight to help navigate through the tablet to check if you could enable screen mirroring on the tablet - if it is still there etc.

If they're not there then again this could be either in the display module or on the systemboard.

The first step in the display troubleshooting flowchart from the service manual says to check the display flex cable connection, followed by replacing the display module itself. (examples only to show cost of module)

Given the cost of some replacement displays, it may be easier to try doing that first and if still no good follow the rest of the flowchart to find out what's wrong.

Here's the ifixit Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2019) Screen Replacement guide, that will help.

If you connect the tablet to a computer via an appropriate USB cable, you should be able to enable the USB file transfer option that shows on the display (or just swipe down to view the notification.

Once enabled the computer's File Manager program will show the tablet's storage drives i.e. internal (and SD card if inserted) and you can copy your data from there.

Any images will be in a folder named DCIM.

If you have email contacts etc it may be easier to transfer via WiFi
