After 3 years of working fine, the freezer suddenly warmed up and thawed the contents. Can't get it to go below 21 degrees F. Once it is at 21 it begins to warm back up to the 40's. Refrigerator is OK. Door ice maker stopped working because the freezer doesn't get to 15 degrees and lower. Compressor is working, fans are working.

Here's the mini manual for the model.
Run the diagnostic tests as described and check what error codes you get (if any) when testing the FZ thermistors (temp sensors) test # 00 27, 00 28 & 00 31 and the FZ fan test # 00 48.
Note: FZ = freezer, FF = refrigerator
See the failure code definition chart to decipher the error code for the various components.
Also check if the freezer door is correctly aligned in case it is a hinge problem i.e. straight and parallel to the cabinet and also if it is sealing properly.
To check if the seal is OK, place a sheet of paper between the freezer door and the door jamb and with the door closed normally i.e. no pressure on it by you to hold it closed, try to pull the paper out. It will come out with a bit of an effort, but not easily and it definitely shouldn't fall out by itself. Do this at various points around the door, top, bottom and both sides.
