Joystick only going up and down

my brand new rog ally that i just received from amazon have left joystick going only up and down...many people have same problem.. return the device. i will do the same today. nothing we can do its defect

Mine has the same issue and I finished all patches by second release day. I was playing Diablo IV perfectly fine and then on day 5 it only registers the up/down movement even in windows explorer. I also feel this is a hardware related issue because it was running perfectly for several days.

my asus rog ally was working perfectly for a couple weeks. and then it started where the left stick only moved up and down. so I went into the bios and I saw the mouse cursor kept moving to the right. and this is because of the left stick! if I pushed on the left stick to the left, it would stop the mouse cursor but it couldn't move it back to the left. once the cursor gets to the right edge of the screen, it's stuck and you can only move up and down. if you switch to a different tab or page in the bios, you'll see the hand cursor keep moving to the right.

Hey, its an Hardware Issue. I replace my sticks with Hall effect sticks, works fine and no problems anymore. I dont know why its only the left Stick with this 'up and down'-issue...
