Turn signals (and dashboard turn indicator) not working, hazards do.

We had an ice/snow storm last week, so I decided to check the wiring on the turn signals thinking one of the turn signals may have lost their ground and work my way through the various circuitry from there if that didn't work. Thankfully I decided to start with the trunk (rear) turn signals since those would be the easiest to get to and it turns out one of the turn signals in the rear had actually lost its ground. I had assumed the wires would clip in back there so there would be no chance for a wire to disconnect, but that's what happened, the clip came loose and it's still not super secure in there even after plugging it back in. I'm going to see if I can throw a heat shrink on there to secure the ground wire clip so it won't happen again or possibly crimp a new connector onto it. For now I have it re-seated, although it is a bit loose and seems like it could fall out again, I at least have discovered my culprit, and hope it helps others who may be experiencing similar issues in the future as well. The reason I didn't start with the turn signal ground wires is because I made an incorrect assumption about the cause of the issue, I thought if all 4 lights worked with the hazards on, that 1 light being disconnected from its ground couldn't possibly cause all 4 lights to not work, that's not the case. It is probably easiest to start with the fuses and flasher relay in any case, but rather than replacing or testing the switch, the next best step to take would be to check the ground wires on each light, starting from the trunk where it is easiest to get to, and working your way to the turn signals under the hood. In my case I got lucky, the culprit was the first turn signal ground wire I looked at.
