Hi @joetuff
You would need to have a suitable signal test meter (example only) or an oscilloscope to detect if any signal was being sent from the key fob when the button was pushed.
Looking online it seems that in the USA and Japan, most vehicle key fobs operate on a frequency of 315MHz and in Europe it is 433.92MHz.
